Gameplay guide to Thunderstruck Slot

Thunderstruck Slot

Thunderstruck I was released by Microgaming in October 2003. It is still one of the most popular slot games on the market today. The game is the prequel to Thunderstruck II.  MicroGaming uses its Viper software to bring the game to Android tablets and iPads as well as PC’s and Macs. The game offers nine pay lines and five reels and a return to player percentage of 96.1%, which for such an old game is very healthy. Bets placed can be as little as 9p and as much as £45.00. This blog will tell you a Gameplay guide to Thunderstruck Slot.

Thunderstruck I is an online slot based on the theme of Norse mythology and Nordic Gods such as Thor. It is by far a more simple slot machine game compared to its updated partner Thunderstruck II. Some of the characters are obviously recognizable from current movies; however, neither of the games are officially linked to any movie.

The main symbols of the slot are Thor’s hammer, Thor’s staff, Thor’s castle, Thor’s thunderbolt and Thor’s horn. Unlike Thunderstruck II Thor is the star of the show and no other Nordic Gods are present. There are also the usual Jack, Queen, King, 9, 10 and Ace cards too.

The scatter symbol is Thor’s rams and the Wild is Thor himself. As with all Wilds it substitutes every symbol except the scatter. When Thor, as the scatter symbol, will double all the winnings when he is the substituting symbol in a winning combination.

Thunderstruck Slot  features a free spin feature, which awards fifteen free spins by obtaining three of the scatter symbols, Thor’s rams and then a multiplier of three which takes the free spins up to thirty. The game does have an auto play option, which is useful for beginners.

Thunderstruck isn’t a progressive slot machine and is the simpler version to its younger sibling; however, it still has an appeal that has lasted over fifteen years. The graphics compared to Thunderstruck II aren’t as impressive but we have to remember just how old this slot game is.

The game has a low to medium volatility and a house edge of four percent. The game is accessible via all devices and looks particularly amazing on a tablet or an ipad. The simplicity of the game works well on all mobile devices.

A coin jackpot of 150,000 makes the game even more attractive and the pay outs are big if the player has the patience to see the game and the jackpot through. Sometimes it may be necessary to wait as long as one hundred spins before hitting the jackpot.

Thunderstruck is by far one of the best Mircrogaming games out there.
